|
Affordable,
Easy-to-use, and Versatile!
This battery-powered meter
is designed to monitor and store peak readings from torque or force
transducers. It is the ideal instrument for the following:
- Monitoring dynamic or
static torque applied to threaded fasteners
- Monitoring compression
or tension force
- Recording peak values
from rotary torque transducers or reaction torque transducers on
DC electric or pneumatic tools to evaluate tool performance
- Storing and recalling
up to five readings to create statistical control charts
|
|
|
The Model 910 is a single-channel,
portable transducer indicator. It has the following features:
-
Five peak
memories to store and recall the peak or maximum torque or force
on five cycles
-
Track mode
to view the transducer output continuously and during calibration
-
Manual span
adjustment allows the peak or track readings to be in direct engineering
units
-
Manual zero
adjustment
-
Nickel-cadmium
rechargeable battery offers eight hours continuous operation before
requiring a charge
-
Accommodates
industry standard transducers with outputs of between 0.8 and 5.0
mV/V
-
Calibrates
using external shunt calibration resistor
-
CW/CCW reversing
switch
-
Three selectable
decimal point positions
-
Analog output
receptacle for use with chart recorders

Typical Applications
The Model 910 is
a versatile measurement tool designed for use on several different applications
involving physical measurement: torque, tension, compression, force,
strain, and pressure. Below are some typical applications for which
the Model 910 can be used in the field.

Setup and
Test Power Tool Nutrunners
|
Power Tool Nutrunners
The Model 910 is specifically
designed to operate with RS Technologies rotating socket wrench torque
sensors and other reaction torque sensors used to measure dynamic torque
applied to a fastener by nutrunners.

|
|
Torque Audits
When
used with an RS Technologies electronic hand torque wrench you can check
the residual torque values on assembled parts.
Torque Wrench Calibration
When used with stationary torque
transducers from RS Technologies, the Model 910 displays applied hand
torque or click point torque when used with mechanical click wrenches.

Load Cells
The Model 910 is compatible with
most strain gage load cells so its can read force in the engineering
units of your choice. For instance, the Model 910 can be used with a
clamp force load cell (on left) to measure the fastener force generated
when a bolt is tighened. It can also be used in combination with a low
profile load cell in calibration of a rivet-forming or press operation.
