RS Technologies features a full service strain gaging facility that can provide everything from engineering and design support to custom strain gaging and calibration services. We can help you measure force, torque, weight, or pressure in various environments. This service includes the following capabilities:Design Engineering: With well over 50 years of combined experience in transducer design and engi-neering, the staff of RS Technologies can analyze your design requirements and develop the solution that will provide you with the highest accuracy and best performance to meet your measurement application. We will determine the correct placement of sensing elements for maximum signal output. Also included is assistance regarding suitable power supply and data acquisition electronics.
Gaging: The surface preparation, gage positioning, and use of proper adhesives are crucial to accu-rate measurement. Utilizing the latest equipment, our staff can apply strain gages to most metals in-cluding aluminum, steel, alloys, and titanium for optimum performance.
Wiring: The strain gaging service includes all wiring of strain gages, balance resistors, resistive tem-perature compensating elements, and terminals on the customer-supplied or custom-designed part.

Temperature Compensation: All strain gage devices can be checked for shifts due to temperature effects and compensated if needed.
Assembly: Our service includes the application of appropriate protective coatings for the environments in which the devices will be used to all sensing elements and interconnections. Appropriate or specified connectors are also included.
Calibration: Our A2LA Accredited calibration laboratory can apply the torque or force loads necessary to test the output and accuracy of the strain-gaged device. A complete certificate is provided to meet your specifications, including performance data and pertinent calibration values.
All installations are subject to Quality Control inspection to assure that your specifications are met.
